Food is very good, and the service. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Coped very well with dietary requests. Menu is a bit more interesting and imaginative than most places, which makes a lovely change. Clean plates all round!

We didn't stay so I can't comment on the rooms. I've left 4 stars given the rest of my review. We had a large family group. Despite some of our people arriving late, service was quick and friendly, food was hot and tasty, and the atmosphere was fine. It's priced reasonably and the value for money is good. Nobody used the female toilet, the gents were fine. We've been before and would go again. 4 stars for location only because it's on a busy main road, though you don't hear that inside. Park right across the road in the inlet beside Greggs.

Hannibal is the BEST! He is so friendly, helpful, and witty. A complete professional and true master of his craft. We had just arrived in Edinburgh and he made us feel welcome and at home. The fajitas were delightful, not too spicy but full of the right flavours. Absolute bargain at the price. Ask Hannibal about what to drink, he knows you better than you know yourself. Can't wait to go back!

Had the two for one fish special with my partner Loved being able to take our dog Lola in with us and she had her own menu for us to choose from. Amazing. Very friendly staff and prompt service.

Everytime I visit Edinburgh I visit this place. Sadly I cannot speak of the rooms, but I can guarantee that you will enjoy the food in the place and the service. If you are visiting Edinburgh this place is a must visit. Great portions, amazing fish and chips, delicious burger, and well made cocktails. This place also contributes to the local village (and you can tell the locals love this place) and has great offers during holidays. A big plus if you are a dog lover is that dogs are welcomed and even have a properly made dog menu. I hoghly recommend this place to anyone who wants an amazing dining experience.
